Bangladesh Government is working whole heartedly for developing a safe, economic and comfortable transport network in the country. Bangladesh Railway is a major component of transport sector having connectivity with 44 disturb out of 64 district. Bangladesh Railway have Master plan for a time spam of 20 years which will end in 2030. One of the most important goal is to connect all the administrative regions and all the districts with the railway network. Magura is a district of Khulna Division having no railway connectivity. The area of Magura is 1030 sq.mile, with a population of approximately 25 lacs. These people are deprived of the railway service. With a view to fulfilling the goal of Bangladesh Railway towards connecting the District Head Quarters and demand/desire of the people of Magura district, Bangladesh Railway have decided to conduct a feasibility study as well as detail engineering design for construction of a Broad Gauge rail line from Modhukhali to Magura.
