CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR DESIGN, CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISION, PROCUREMENT SUPPORT AND MANAGEMENT OF DHAKA MASS RAPID TRANSIT DEVELOPMENT PROJECT (CONTRACT NO. S-1) [MRT Line-6]
Dhaka Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) Line-6 will be the first fast moving and highly efficient public transport system in Bangladesh. With a total length of 21.26 km (elevated), it will be capable of carrying 60,000 passengers both ways per hour. When metro rail is implemented, public transport system will be modernized and upgraded, work-hours will be saved, and travel will be safe and time saving. Traffic congestion will be minimized to a great extent due to reduction in number of vehicles under personal ownership. As a result, socio-economic development will be faster and environmental condition will improve extensively.
