CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISION OF BALANCE WORK FOR THE PURPOSE OF "CONSTRUCTION OF KHULNA-MONGLA PORT RAIL LINE" AGAINST INDIAN LINE OF CREDIT (LOC) OF BANGLADESH RAILWAY
The main objective of the project is to conduct feasibility study, detailed design, construction of embankment, track, all civil works, major and minor bridges & culverts. Length of main line is 64.70 km and length of loops & marshalling yard is 29.75 km of Broad Gauge Standard and embankment width is 6.85 m. The main line is to be constructed to suit 120 kmph speed and 25 ton axle loading. The track formation is earthen embankment with subgrade layer of height varying from 1.5 m to 5.00 m. Embankment at Rupsha Bridge Approach will be upto 14m height. Rail Fastening is GRP on the sleeper, GFN liners, ERC-clips, Fish plate. Wooden and PC sleeper is used and Ballast is of stone. There will be eight (8) stations in the proposed Khulna - Mongla Port rail alignment. Functional and residential buildings such as officers and staff quarters, wash pit, sick line, TXR office, loco shed, running room, GRP, RNB buildings etc. to be constructed. Foot over bridge, approach road, 20 nos. level crossing gates (10 manned + 10 unmanned) to be contracted.
Services
Phase-I & II: Detailed Feasibility Study including Environmental and Social Services, Detail Design and Tendering Services: - Detailed feasibility study with economic and financial analysis; - Environmental studies; - Social and resettlement studies; - Detailed survey of the proposed route including collection, digitization, geo-referencing and edit plot checking of 79 mouza sheet of covering 71 mouza of Khulna and Bagerhat districts; - Detailed engineering design of all infrastructures including embankment, track, bridges & culverts, stations with all facilities such as buildings, platforms, approach road, foot over bridges, platform sheds, yards, signaling, yard at Mongla Sea Port and all other facilities deemed necessary for proper operation; - Detailed cost estimates; - Preparation of tender documents; and - Providing bidding evaluation assistance services.; Phase-III: Construction Supervision Consultancy Services: - Supervision the construction works as per drawing, design, BOQ etc. - Quality control; and - Time and cost management.
