CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR DETAIL DESIGN AND TENDER ASSISTANCE FOR DHAKA MASS RAPID TRANSIT DEVELOPMENT PROJECT (MRT LINE-1) (E/S)
The Government of People's Republic of Bangladesh and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) have initiated the Dhaka Mass Rapid Transit Development Project (MRT Line 1) to alleviate the traffic congestion and mitigate the air pollution in Dhaka by constructing the mass rapid transit system, thereby contributing to the economic development and improving urban environment. Total length of the project is 26.60 km (16.40 km underground & 10.20 km elevated) with 21 stations. (On Airport route 12 underground and Purbachal route 2 underground & 7 elevated stations).
Services
- Carryout all the required engineering surveys and investigations; - Review and verify all available primary and secondary data collection; - Preparation of basic design; - Preparation of detailed design; - Tender assistance; - Facilitation of implementation of Environmental Management Plan (EMP), Environmental Monitoring Plan (EMoP) and Resettlement Action Plan (RAP); - Technology transfer; - Institutional development assistance; - Non-rail business strategy plan, design and development and station area development; - Security assistance and risk mitigation; - Depot site selection; - Assist in DMTCL for utility verification and relocation of utilities; - Public relations activities; and - Integration of MRT Line 1 and MRT Line 6 between Motijheel and Kamlapur station.
