CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR FEASIBILITY STUDY FOR CONSTRUCTION OF 4 BRIDGES OF EASTERN AND SOUTHERN REGION OF BANGLADESH.
The objective of the study was to prepare a concept design for construction of bridges at the ferry crossings of (i) Patukhali-Amtali-Barguna Road (R-880) over Paira River (ii) Bakergonj-Bauphal Upazila Road (Z8806 & 8804) over Karkhana River (iii) Bhulta-Araihazar-Bancharampur Road (R-203) over Meghna River (iv) to develop direct connectivity from main land to Bhola Island a Bridge to be constructed either Barisal-Bhola road over Kalabador & Tentulia or Dhulia-Bhelu Miah Bazaar over Tentulia River considering the best option to develop road communications, and assess the feasibility of the project (v) Construction of bridges at ferry crossing of Bangura-Kakchira-Patharghata Road (R-880) over Bishkhali River and (vi) Construction of connecting road from Bancharampur to Radhika Road via Nabinagar-Shibpur to provide regional connectivity for proposed Bridge of Bhulta-Araihazar-Bancharampur Road (R-203) over Meghna River to develop road communications, and assess the feasibility of the project.
Services
- Detailed traffic survey with O-D survey, traffic analysis and traffic forecast for a reasonable time horizon establishing traffic model; - Optimization of length, location and alignment of the Bridges, selection of best possible, route and design criteria; - Carry out detailed geotechnical investigation, geological mapping, seismic study and morphology survey; - Detailed hydra-morphological study by using Mathematical Modeling of the rivers along the corridor; - Details environment impact assessment and environmental management and mitigation plan; - Assessment of resettlement requirement and preparation of action plan; - Preliminary design of the bridges and other component with cost estimate; - Preparation of land acquisition plan; - Techno-economic evaluation including detailed economic and financial evaluation; and - EIRR, NPV, BCR, FIRR along sensitivity for different scenarios.
