CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR DETAILED LAYOUT PLAN FOR BAY TERMINAL AREA OUTSIDE THE PROPOSED BAY TERMINAL BOUNDARY AND DETAILED DESIGN OF DELIVERY TERMINAL OF CHITTAGONG PORT
In order to improve the quality of services, optimum utilization of the resources and develop adequate facilities to turn itself into a world class regional port, the Chattogram Port Authority (CPA) has intended to prepare a detailed layout master plan for Bay Terminal area outside the proposed Bay Terminal Boundary and detailed design of Delivery Terminal at Chattogram Port, develop the adjacent port connecting roads, establish railways link between Chattogram Seaport and the delivery yard at Bay Terminal. The CPA envisages to turn this port into a 4th generation sea port with sophisticated delivery terminal and integrated logistics centres which eventually will become centres of information for supply chain networks and places for locating distribution centres. The CPA also intends to construct a very well decorated, sustainable port connecting roads and railways which will be able to meet the heavy cargo traffic movement in the future.
