Duration: November, 1995-October, 1998 Meghna estuary study, bangladesh Flood action plan 5b


The project comprised a study in the frame work of the Flood Action Plan (5b) of the hydrological and morphological process in the Meghna estuary to increase the safety and sustainable economical development of the region; improvement of the institutional capacity of Bangladesh; and development of coastal islands and identification of new projects for land development.


– Technical assistance by the local expert consultants
– Assisting in survey and study of the estuarine area of the project
– Assisting in data collection for WL, bathymetry, discharge salinity, temperature, wind and sediment
– Interpreting lands at imageries, aerial photographs etc.
– Assisting in mathematical modeling.
