The Citrus Vegetables Research Centre was established with a view to balancing the existing deficiency of vitamin C and three important minerals namely calcium, iron and phosphorus. Before creation of BARC, Bangladesh Vegetables Research and Development Centre was in operation with the general objective to serve as strong national research centre in order to select and develop high yielding and disease resistant varieties of citrus and vegetables.


– Formulation of questionnaire format and conducting questionnaire survey
– Preparation of technical training programme of the staff
– Determination of equipment requirements through survey
– Collection of secondary and primary data and analysis including preparation of database
– Preparation of reports.
